At Summer Culinary, the week builds toward one exciting moment: Friday Competition Day. Students form teams, receive a mystery basket of ingredients, and have a set time to create a dish that wows our panel of judges.

How It Works
Mystery Basket Reveal
Teams receive a curated selection of ingredients — some familiar, some surprising. The challenge begins the moment the basket is opened.
Prep & Cook
Students have a set window to plan, prep, and execute their dish. Instructors are present but the creative decisions belong entirely to the team.
Plate & Present
Each team presents their dish to the judges, explaining their concept, techniques used, and flavor profile.
Judging & Feedback
Judges score on taste, technique, presentation, and creativity — then offer detailed feedback every student can learn from.
